The Founder of Winners Chapel International Ministries Bishop David Oyedapo, has joined the global outcry on allegation of Genocide of the Christian Faithful in Nigeria, when he emphasized during a sermon recently at the Faith Tabernacle in Cannan land that Genocide is raging stressing that he does not have any problem on debate about it.
In his words “Genocide is raging. I don’t have any problem on debate on genocide. The question is, are killings still going on? What is genocide? Are they judicial killings or extrajudicial killings? Now, I gave a lecture years ago on taking up intellectual arms in dealing with the crisis in Africa. And I tried to trace all the wars that we have had in recent times from Sudan to Ethiopia to Sudan, I mean, to Liberia. But I’ve come to discover its spiritual battle. There is no intellectual solution to it”
The Venerated Man of God said Christians should be awake! Less sudden mischief comes on us unawares stressing that when genocide is not curtailed, anarchy resorts; taking the German experience of 1930 under Hitler as a case study and as a result, the silence of the Church in that era led to the deaths of million, emphasizing that a docile church is a curse.
According to the Bishop, “Let’s come away to our spiritual responsibility and break the arm of the devil from tormenting the less of the innocent. I’m asking every living winner, no matter how much anointing you have for sleep, Anointing is broken Between 12 and 1 a.m. from tonight, you are crying to God for mercy and you are placing curses on the perpetrators, there will be testimonies this week there will be testimony this week. The battle is raging. Islamic jihadists are roaring. But we belong to a higher realm of authority”.
On the impact of the insecurity on humanity, the presiding Bishop of the Winners Church said human trade has become a big-time business, stressing that it’s worse than the scourge of slavery. In his words “You pick someone and say you should bring 700 million, My God! Who are you? Everyone behind it in the name of the Lord Jesus within the next seven days They are smelling They are stinking It’s done Thank you for today, Jesus. For three days, I’ve been half asleep and half awake. As the God lives, who sent me as one of the watchmen over this nation? This shall not continue.” Oyedepo added.
The Pro-Chancelor of Covenant University said the ghost of the Rwanda genocide remains scary and still haunts the continent long after the war was over, he added that the Somalian war was a disaster that stares humanity on the face and mentioned wars in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia and the Nigeria civil war as events that left behind horrors, sorrows and degradations, praying that Nigeria will not see war and that lovers of war will go down.
